Set for this Saturday is an event to raise money for the Cora Lamping Center for Survivors of Domestic and Sexual Violence in Berrien County. It’s the third annual “Fest in the Southwest” at Watermark Brewing Company in Stevensville. Avenue Family Network board member Ryan Ogle tells WSJM News $20 will get you a beer stein, two drink tokens, and a brat ticket. 95% of the proceeds from the event will go to the safe shelter for survivors of domestic violence. The fundraiser comes as the center is seeking to expand.

“We’re actually in the process of relocating our space to a larger building that will allow us to service more individuals instead of our current facility,” Ogle said.

Ogle says the Cora Lamping Center provides a safe place to stay for entire families when they escape a violent situation. Fest in the Southwest will run from 1 to 5 p.m. Saturday and you can get tickets online. Look for the Facebook page of Watermark Brewing Company.
