The peak fall colors are about to appear in Berrien County. Although it’s been warm to start off this week, the County Road Association of Michigan says those fall colors are almost here. It says the peak color driving period in Berrien County starts next Monday. The association’s Dustin Earley tells WSJM News people come to Michigan just to see fall colors.

“Everywhere from the very corner of southeast Michigan all the way up to the very tip of the Keweenaw Peninsula has great viewing roads,” Earley said.

The routes recommended for Berrien County are Blue Star Highway along Lake Michigan from Van Buren County to M-63 and Red Arrow Highway. The County Road Association recommends getting off the beaten path to get the best views.
