Nearly 300 high school students from around southwest Michigan and northern Indiana have had a chance to learn more about the automotive industry thanks to an event this month at Southwestern Michigan College. Automotive Technology Green Flag Day was held on October 4 as tips from automotive industry insiders were provided to the students. Representatives from NAPA Filters and Zolman Tire gave advice on getting hired and the technologies of tomorrow were discussed. SMC says the day hosted students from Van Buren Tech in Lawrence, the Elkhart Area Career Center, Lakeshore High School, Coloma High School, and Niles Brandywine High School.
