  1. New Movies
    1. Jumanji: The Next Level  (PG-13)  Trailer 1 and Trailer 2
Danny DeVito joins the sequel as Spencer’s grandfather and Danny Glover is his former business partner.  They get sucked into the game after Spencer repairs the broken Jumanji cartridge and his friends decide to go in after him. Dwayne Johnson, Kevin Hart, Jack Black, Karen Gillian, and Nick Jonas are all back as game avatars, but this time DeVito is in The Rock’s body, Glover is Kevin Hart, and Bethany gets stuck as a horse. The villain in this one is played by Rory McCann, who you know as The Hound from “Game of Thrones”.  And Awkwafina is also in it as a new playable character.
      2.  Uncut Gems  (R)
This is crime thriller that’s getting Adam Sandler some potential Oscar buzz.  He plays a gambling addict who owns a jewelry shop in New York’s District.  Idina Menzel plays his wife, Julia Fox is his mistress, and “Atlanta” star LaKeith Stanfield is his assistant.  Boston Celtics star Kevin Garnett also has a pivotal role in it as himself. Kevin becomes obsessed with a rock covered in opals and asks to borrow it as a good luck charm for a championship game, and Adam foolishly agrees.  Then it spin out of control when Adam doesn’t know how to get it back to settle his gambling debts.
