A Three Oaks man has lost a leg as a result of a snowmobile crash on Sunday night. Three Oaks village police tell our reporting partners at WSBT it happened when two snowmobiles crashed into each other on Stickles Road. Police believe the drivers missed their trailhead. One sled drove over the other, cutting off its driver’s right leg just above the knee. Village police used a tourniquet to stop the man’s bleeding. He was taken to South Bend Memorial Hospital in stable condition, as was the other driver, who suffered a back injury.
