The call is going out again this week for southwest Michigan residents to become Partners in Hope with our radio stations and St. Jude Children’s Hospital. From 6 a.m. to 7 p.m. Thursday and Friday, 97.5 Y-Country will be broadcasting live from St. Joseph’s Silver Beach Center raising money in our annual radiothon for the Memphis, Tennessee hospital.

“They specifically focus on cancer treatments, but also things like sickle cell and things that are debilitating children and taking away childhoods,” says Y-Country morning host Matt Malone. He says St. Jude’s goal is to improve the lives of sick children across the world.

“We have someone that is a Lakeshore student that is being treated in Grand Rapids. The protocols they’re doing at Helen DeVos Children’s Hospital come from St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.”

Anyone who wants to donate is encouraged to call 1-800-942-8709 during the broadcast to do so. That number will connect you with someone locally and your gift will make a difference in the lives of children.
