The Michigan Maritime Museum in South Haven will continue its Maritime Lecture Series this month with a presentation on a shipwreck discovered in Lake Michigan in 2018. Museum Education Director Ashley Deming tells WSJM News the presentation will be on March 25.

“This particular lecture in March is with presenter Ross Richardson, who is an author and a shipwreck hunter,” Deming said. “He is going to be discussion exploring shipwrecks and lighthouses in northern Lake Michigan with a focus on one  of his most recent discoveries of a very intact small schooner near Sleeping Bear Point.”

It turned out Richardson was the first to locate that shipwreck. He was later able to dive to it with a photographer. The March 25 presentation will be all about the previously unknown wreck, and it will feature several of the photos. Deming says tickets to the lecture will be available at the door, which will open at 6 p.m. You can find out more right here.
