As southwest Michigan shelters in place, Congressman Fred Upton is asking residents to share pictures of how they’re spending their time. He’s been writing a daily column from home that’s posted to his website, and tells WSJM News he’d like to share some photos of what you’re up to.

“We started that this week,” Upton said. “We had 13-year-old Spencer, who celebrated his birthday. He’ll never forget it. We’ve got a couple of artists out there who are painting watercolors every day, and they sent me a picture of one of their watercolors. So we’re looking to highlight how people around southwest Michigan are enduring.”

The submitted photos get posted to Upton’s website. Upton says they keep it mostly anonymous, only sharing the first names of people who send in photos, and maybe their community. You can submit your own photo right here.
