The Twin Cities Area Transportation Authority in Benton Harbor and St. Joseph is receiving a $2.4 million federal grant. The office of Senator Gary Peters announced this week the funds from the Federal Transit Administration will help ensure transit services remain operational during the coronavirus pandemic. They were included in the Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security Act, or the CARES Act. Peters says many Michiganders are still relying on public transit during the pandemic, and the funds going to TCATA will help it continue functioning.
