South Haven’s new splash pad is starting to take form. Originally scheduled to be completed by now but delayed by the COVID-19 pandemic, the pad will be similar to St. Joseph’s Whirlpool Centennial Fountain. The $612,000 attraction will resemble the tall ship, the Friend’s Good Will that’s featured at the Michigan Maritime Museum. Local elementary school students voted on the pad’s theme. With work now underway on the splash pad again, it’s expected to be finished in early July.
