Police say they believe the body of a man who went missing in the St. Joseph River in Royalton Township on Friday has been found. The Berrien County Sheriff’s Department says the man went under while helping a struggling juvenile in the water about a mile from the Jasper Dairy boat launch Friday evening. The search for him continued through the weekend, and a body was found about a half mile downriver shortly before 9 a.m. Sunday. An autopsy will be done at Western Michigan University. The man’s name has not been released.
