The number of newly confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Michigan went up by 314 on Saturday. The Michigan Department of Health and Human Services says the state has had 63,009 cases of the illness since the start of the pandemic. It reported 19 additional deaths for Saturday, bringing that total to 5,907. Berrien County had three new cases of COVID-19 to report for the day, making the total 704 with 60 deaths since the start of the pandemic. Cass County had no new cases for Saturday, keeping its total 120 with four deaths. Van Buren County also had no new cases for the day, making the county’s total 198 with six deaths.
