Michigan is reporting 645 additional cases of COVID-19 for Thursday. The Michigan Department of Health and Human Services says the state has had 71,842 cases of the illness since the start of the pandemic. It reported 16 additional deaths for Thursday, bringing that total to 6,101, although 13 of those were identified through a review of vital records. Berrien County had eight new cases of COVID-19 to report for the day, making the total 883 with 61 deaths. Cass County had one new case for Thursday, making its total 192. Cass County also recorded its seventh death. Van Buren County had no new cases for the day, leaving the county’s total 254 with eight deaths.
