Andrews University is planning a virtual commencement for this year. It says from July 31 to August 2, the entire campus community will celebrate the achievements of graduating students through celebration of graduates services and the commencement. The main events will begin at 7 p.m. on Friday, July 31 with the Cultural Graduation Stoles Celebration to be streamed online at the Andrews University website. Things will continue the next morning at 11:45 with the Baccalaureate service. The Andrews Department of Music will present a special selection, and Wintley Phipps, the senior pastor of the Palm Bay Seventh-day Adventist Church, will deliver the address to be broadcast at Andrews.edu/Livestream. Later that afternoon, various colleges, schools, and departments have arranged their own services. The weekend’s events will conclude with virtual commencement services on Sunday, August 2 starting at 10 a.m. All events will be at the Andrews website and livestreamed over its Facebook page.
