A Chicago man is dead after his motorcycle was rear-ended by a suspected drunk driver on I-94 in Lake Township Sunday morning. Michigan State Police say the crash happened in the westbound lanes near mile marker 19 around 1 a.m. Troopers arrived at the scene to find a 26-year-old man from Covert who had crashed his car into the motorcycle. The 33-year-old driver of the motorcycle was killed. The driver of the car suffered non-life-threatening injuries. He was treated at Spectrum Health Lakeland hospital. Police say the driver of the car was then taken to the Berrien County Jail on a charge of operating while intoxicated causing death. His name has not been released.
