A man who robbed a bank in Three Oaks last year has been sentenced to 18 years in prison. The U.S. Attorney’s office in Grand Rapids says David Wilson Floyd, formerly of Michigan City, Indiana, went into the New Buffalo Savings Bank in Three Oaks on September 9 of 2019 with a bag on his head. He flashed a gun at the teller and said, “Get your money out.” He then made off with more than $11,000. The U.S Attorney says Floyd is also responsible for several convenience store and gas station robberies around northern Indiana and southwest Michigan between June and September of 2019. As part of Floyd’s sentence, he will also have to pay restitution.
