Michigan is reporting 699 additional cases of COVID-19 for Thursday. The Michigan Department of Health and Human Services says the state has had 75,947 cases of the illness since the start of the pandemic. It reported seven additional deaths for Thursday, although six of them were identified through a review of vital records around the state. The total number of deaths statewide is now 6,148. Berrien County reported 30 additional cases of the illness for Thursday, now at a total of 1,016 cases with 63 deaths since the start of the pandemic. Cass County had nine new cases for the day, now with a total of 227 cases and eight deaths. Van Buren County had twelve new cases to report for Thursday, bringing its total to 303 cases and nine deaths.
