The Michigan Maritime Museum has added a historic property. Executive director Patti Reinert says they finalized a deal this month for the Jensen Property, adjacent to campus across the Black River.
“Having the historical significance that it does his rare and endangered property it’s very critical to our mission to preserve and the educational aspect of that,” says Reinert.
The purchase doubles the size of the campus. The purchase price of $1.6 million was raised entirely through donations.
