The South Haven Police Department is investigating after several shots were reported fired on Friday afternoon in the 300 block of Elkenburg Street. It says officers responded to the scene shortly before 3 p.m. and learned everyone involved had already fled. It did not appear anyone was injured. Several casings were found at the scene, and police determined a bullet had hit a church. Not long after, officers in South Haven Township came across a vehicle that appeared to have been hit with gunfire. The people in the vehicle were not cooperative, and it’s believed they’re all from the South Haven area or former residents. Police have released a photo of the suspect vehicles. Anyone with information on the incident is asked to contact the South Haven Police Department.
