One of five co-chairs of President-elect Joe Biden’s inauguration will be Michigan Governor Gretchen Whitmer. The Biden team announced the five on Monday, and it will be chaired by Congressman James Clyburn of South Carolina. Also serving as chairs are Congressman Cedric Richmond of Louisiana, Congresswoman Lisa Rochester of Delaware and Los Angeles Mayor Eric Garcetti. Whitmer said she is humbled by the honor, and also co-chaired Biden’s campaign. Biden’s inauguration is set for January 20. The ceremony will be quite a bit different from past years due to the COVID-19 pandemic and plans are still being made.
