The Buchanan Area Senior Center has had to close immediately for at least the next two weeks. The BASC says it’s due to an employee testing positive for COVID-19 and the entire staff needing to quarantine. They say no one has had any symptoms and the infection was found thru “routine testing.” They will post on Facebook when they will reopen and say December 21 will be the earliest. Senior Nutrition Services and Meals on Wheels will continue though maybe with some changes. Same goes for transportation to existing medical appointments, food commodities, and the Compassionate Callers Club.
