The Van Buren County Sheriff’s Department is investigating a break-in to the Dollar General store in Lawrence this week. It says deputies were called to the store on Paw Paw Street at 8 a.m. Tuesday. They learned someone had broken into the business overnight and made off with several thousands of dollars in cash and hundreds of dollars in merchandise. It appears the culprit climbed an exterior wall to the store and used tools to break in the through the roof. The investigation remains open and ongoing. Anyone with information on the robbery is asked to contact the Van Buren County Sheriff’s Department.
