The Speakers Series of South Haven is looking ahead to 20211 with some hope as a COVID-19 vaccine gets rolled out. In a message to supporters on Christmas Eve, the series says it had big plans for 2020 that included four speakers. By the late summer, however, the engagements had to be canceled. Still, organizers say that “didn’t dampen our determination to return in 2021.” They go on to say they’re optimistic about resuling programming in 2021 and working on the potential of some virtual engagements and “the possibility of some in-person gatherings perhaps during the fall months.” The Speakers Series of South Haven says it has in the past always announced its future speakers in December to coincide with an annual fund appeal, but this year is different. The series is also not going to make any personal fundraising requests for 2021 as it looks at its options for the year.
