Governor Gretchen Whitmer says Michigan will recover economically from the coronavirus pandemic. Appearing on CBS’ “Face the Nation” Sunday, the governor talked about the backlash she’s still getting over decisions she’s made regarding the COVID 19 pandemic.
“There are no easy solutions here, no clearly obvious solutions,” says Whitmer. “I believe the right thing to do is follow the science and put people’s lives first because we can, and we will, recover from the economic blowback from COVID-19 that run amuck in our country. What we can’t do is bring someone back to life.”
Whitmer also spoke of her relationship with Ohio’s Republican Governor Mike DeWine, saying that the virus does not stop at state or party lines.
