The Van Buren County Sheriff’s Department has two Gobles men in custody for a stolen car crash and meth lab in Gobles. They are looking for a 25-year-old Schoolcraft woman who hasn’t been seen since Sunday. Deputies found a white Nissan that hit a tree in the 27-thousand block of 6th Avenue in Pine Grove Township Sunday afternoon and followed the footprints to a nearby home. That’s where they noticed a strong chemical odor from the garage and found a one-pot meth lab. They talked to those at the house and learned where the men had gone, finding them at the Village Express gas station. After several minutes they exited the vehicle, with the passenger fighting police. He was also drinking in the car in view of the officers. Michigan State Police responded to the scene to help dispose of the meth lab.
