Whirlpool chief sustainability officer and director of global sustainability Ronald Voglewede of St. Joseph will serve for the next three years on Governor Whitmer’s Council on Climate Solutions. She created the body in September and announced appointments to it Wednesday. The council will act in an advisory capacity to the governor and the Michigan Department of Environment, Great Lakes, and Energy to formulate and oversee the implementation of the MI Healthy Climate Plan, which will serve as the action plan for this state to reduce greenhouse gas emissions and transition toward economywide carbon neutrality.
