Market Van Buren has announced the 2021 Market Van Buren Awards, set to be given out in May. Market Van Buren economic development coordinator Sarah Snoeyink tells WSJM News the organization wants to salute the businesses that have served the community and even gotten started during a difficult time.

“2020 was an exceptionally difficult year for many of our businesses in Van Buren County, and so we just want to take some time to use these awards as an opportunity to pause, reflect, and celebrate some of those hard-earned victories for those businesses that are the lifeblood of Van Buren County,” Snoeyinksaid.

Snoeyink says they’re asking the public to submit nominees for the Best New Business award. To qualify, a business has to be two years old or less, serve Van Buren County, and have two or more employees. Those can include the owner. Nominations will be accepted through the end of February 14 and can be made at MarketVanBuren.org/Awards.
