State Releases Thursday COVID Numbers

Michigan is reporting 1,526 new cases of COVID-19 for Thursday. The Michigan Department of Health and Human Services says the state has had more than 593,000 COVID cases since the pandemic started. 37 deaths were reported for Thursday, 29 of which were identified through a review of vital records. The state’s death total is now 15,600. The state’s coronavirus dashboard shows Berrien County with 33 new cases on Thursday for a total of 10,748. The county had three additional deaths, bringing the total to 226. Van Buren County has 37 new cases for a total of 4,727. Deaths in Van Buren County remain at 85. The state’s vaccine dashboard shows more than 2.42 million doses have been administered. Berrien County has administered more than 41,000 doses while Van Buren County has administered more than 17,100.
