Would you like to see more movies and TV shows made in Michigan? Efforts are underway to bring back film incentives to the state, according to David Haddad of the Michigan Film Industry Association. He says the streaming industry is insane.

“All of these institutions need content. So because of COVID, we have opportunity. Right now everything is backed up and what do we get for that? Michigan needs to be part of the program. There are 39 states that have a film incentive program and it brings jobs, jobs, jobs to Michigan.”

Haddad says they are talking with legislators about asking for bills for $75 million to $100 million for film incentives.
