Interviews will be held with four finalists for the Lakeshore Public Schools superintendent. The board of education reviewed the 21 applicants to succeed the retiring Phil Freeman, noting they came from Michigan, Colorado, Indiana, and Pennsylvania. The first two will be in front of the board on March 15, followed by the other two on March 17.

Up first is Greg Eding, a high school principal in Zeeland at 5:30 p.m. on the 15th, followed by Hobart, Indiana superintendent Dr. Steven Disney. At 5:30 on the 17th will be Parchment superintendent Jason Misner and then at 7, the board will hear from Delton-Kellogg superintendent Kyle Corlette. Board president Dr. Jason Beckrow says they were pleased with the applicants, “especially with the large number of superintendents retiring in Michigan this year.” The hope is to have a new superintendent on the job July 1.
