4H kids in Berrien and Van Buren counties are being challenged to collect recyclable plastic materials that will be melted down into benches, tables, garden planters, etc. The material will be donated back to the community. The collection will run from March 15th through May 30. Acceptable lids and caps have 2, 4, 04, and 5 recycle numbers including cottage cheese, coffee, butter, cream cheese, peanut butter, mayo and flip top caps among others. Lids and caps with the numbers 1, 3, 6, and 7 are not being accepted. Everything needs to be clean before being dropped off.
