A lot of college graduations were canceled last year because of the pandemic, but Central Michigan University will have in-person commencement this year for this year’s and last year’s graduates.
“It will be outside in our football stadium, Kelly Shorts Stadium,” says CMU President Bob Davies. “The number of graduates per session will be a lot less. We won’t have 1,000 or so and it’ll be right around 300.”
Davies says they have several small ceremonies in May, with 2020 grads invited to a May 15th ceremony. If they can’t attend then, he says they will be able to attend a future commencement.
