Two people from Bay County have been killed in a fiery crash Friday night on I-196 near the 15 mile marker. South Haven Police Chief Natalie Thompson says the 72-year-old man and 70-year-old woman were in the passenger vehicle that collided with a semi that was hauling pickup trucks. Both vehicles caught fire just before 6 pm. The northbound lanes of I-196 were closed for 12 hours for the investigation. The victims’ families have been notified, and their names are not being released at this point.
