The Boys and Girls Club of Benton Harbor has been given a four star rating by Charity Navigator, a group that evaluates charities around the United States. Since 2002, it’s looked at the transparency of charitable organizations and how they use their money. About a quarter of charities get the four star rating. Charity Navigator CEO Michael Thatcher says the Boys and Girls Clubs of Benton Harbor’s rating “sets it apart from its peers and demonstrates its trustworthiness to the public.” This is the seventh year in a row the Boys and Girls Club of Benton Harbor has achieved that status.
