The St. Joseph Department of Public Safety says a man presumed drowned in Lake Michigan after falling off the south pier last Sunday was 27-year-old Dakota Yergeau of St. Joseph. The search for his body was called off this past week. He’d been walking on the pier with another man around 5:30 p.m. Sunday when he was washed off by a wave.
