The Berrien Springs Public Schools Board of Education has narrowed the field for assistant superintendent to two candidates after interviewing seven candidates this week. The two finalists are Dr. Tom Bruce, the former superintendent of St. Joseph Public Schools, and Dr. Shanna Spickard, a middle school principal in Milan, Michigan. The interview with Bruce will be at 4 p.m. on Wednesday, April 21. The interview with Spickard will be at 5:15 p.m. the same day. The school board expects to appoint a new assistant superintendent to begin on July 1.
