Michigan’s new COVID-19 cases for Saturday were 4,698 for a total in the pandemic of 819,320. The Department of Health and Human Services reports 121 new deaths from the virus, with 91 being from reviews of vital records. Since March 2020, 17,289 Michiganders have died from COVID-19. In southwest Michigan Saturday, Berrien County had 12,981 cases and 246 deaths. Cass County has 4,517 cases since March 2020 with 67 deaths, and Van Buren County has 6,129 cases with 98 deaths.
