The Michigan Department of Licensing and Regulatory Affairs says Countryside Nursing Home in South Haven closed last week due to financial and staffing difficulties faced by its owner. The facility, which housed 40 residents, was shut down by ACM Senior Living on Thursday. LARA says “the residents were transferred to other facilities for their safety and care.” It says several organizations were involved with making sure the transfer of residents was safe and orderly. They included LARA, the Michigan Department of Health and Human Services, Adult Protective Services, and the State Long Term Care Ombudsman’s office.
