The number of new COVID-19 cases has dropped to 446 for Friday. That brings the pandemic total to 889,957. The Michigan Department of Health and Human Services says 27 people died of COVID-19 with that total now at 19,293.
For southwest Michigan, Berrien County has 13,859 cases, up 7 from Thursday and deaths are unchanged at 268. Cases in Cass County are up 1 to 4,774 with 71 deaths. In Van Buren County, there are 4 new cases for 6,637 with 115 deaths.
