Detroit police are partnering with other departments and putting helicopters in the air to look for road rage incidents and other violence on freeways. It’s called Operation Brison in honor of two year old Brison Christian, who was shot to death while riding in his father’s truck on I-75 last week. Interim Detroit Police Chief James White pleaded with people to stop the violence.

“It must stop now,” White said this week. “If you care anything about this community and if you care anything about what has happened to little Brison, it’s imperative that you speak up and let us know where these predators are.”

The Wayne County Prosecutor’s office charged 19-year-old Darius Lanier and 21-year-old Eugene Hubbard with murder and 15 other charges. Michigan State Police say more arrests could be made.
