Berrien County Administrator Brian Dissette has marked one year on the job. During Thursday’s meeting of the Berrien County Board of Commissioners, he said it’s been quite the year.
“I have really enjoyed working here,” Dissette said. “I joke that not a day has gone by where I’ve been bored.”
Dissette said a highlight of his work has been coordinating with the sheriff’s department on the ongoing jail construction project. The county commission approved a 2% pay increase for Dissette, bringing his pay to $145,000 per year. He replaced former County Administrator Bill Wolf last July and previously served as the city manager in South Haven.
