Berrien County has a new friend of the court. During Thursday’s meeting, the Berrien County Board of Commissioners approved the appointment of Lisa Jardine to the post as Tom Watson is retiring. Board Chair Mac Elliott said Jardine is a good choice.
“She captures a high level of knowledge and skill and marries that with a very impressive professional demeanor,” Elliott said.
Jardine has been the deputy director of the friend of court’s office. The county board Thursday also approved a resolution honoring Tom Watson for his many years of service. The resolution says Watson’s life and service reflect favorably on him and on the county. The friend of court investigates and makes recommendations regarding custody cases.
