Police are investigating the shooting of a three-year-old girl in Benton Harbor on Saturday. It happened in the 800 block of Monroe Street shortly after 4:30 am. The Berrien County Sheriff’s Department says officers responded to the scene and found a large number of bullet holes in the home. One of the bullets hit the three-year-old in the arm. She had been lying in bed. Deputies administered a tourniquet to her to control the bleeding. She was taken to Spectrum Health Lakeland to be treated. Anyone with information on the shooting is asked to contact the Berrien County Sheriff’s Department.
