Set for this weekend in South Haven is the 2021 Mermaid MegaFest. The event was started in 2018 as a way to break a world record, and has been growing as an annual tradition since. The Mermaid Megafest will be held at the Lake Arvesta Farms Sports Complex Friday through Sunday, featuring vendors, music, a light show, food, and of course, mermaids. You’ll be able to see them swimming around in a large clear water tank. A theme of the event is also the importance of protecting water resources with a beach cleanup planned for Friday from noon to 3 p.m. Tickets are $20 and you can get them at MerFestInternational.com.
