Pedestrian Struck By Train, Killed In Three Oaks

One person is dead after being struck by a train in Three Oaks on Sunday. The Three Oaks Police Department says officers were called to the area of South Elm Street and West Central Avenue at about 6:55 p.m. on a report of an Amtrak train hitting a pedestrian. The department is still investigating the incident, but says the rail is a high-speed line, and Amtrak trains can travel up to 110 mph. No information about the deceased has been released.
