The old Deer Forest in Coloma is going on the auction block. The amusement park has been vacant for years after a few attempts to revive it. Owner Blair Struble launched a GoFundMe a few years ago for its restoration, but didn’t raise enough money. The first of three viewings for the property will happen next week. Auctioneer Rick Levin talked to our partners at WSBT-22.
“We welcome creative entrepreneurial thinking because right now, the property’s really sitting under utilized and we’re looking forward to someone finding this opportunity and and hopefully having a positive experience as an investment.”
The first viewing date will be September 21 from 12 to 2 pm. Levin says he’s had a few inquiries, but hopes for more interest. The 32-acre property will be auctioned next month and could be broken up.
