There’s a big recall of marijuana that was tainted with pesticides. Jerry Millen owns the Greenhouse of Walled Lake and says pesticides in marijuana is a big deal, because effects like cancer won’t happen for years down the road.

“This is not the same weed from the 60s, 70s, and 80s,” says Millen. “It needs to be tested. Michigan has some of the most stringent testings in the country for cannabis, and I totally agree with that because this stuff needs to be safe.”

Officials at the state regulatory agency say the weed was sold in late August to four shops before it was recalled. Millen wonders how the weed slipped through the cracks when it came to testing.
