There will be a campus tour this weekend at Lake Michigan College, and it will be a chance for anyone to see recent improvements that have been made at the Benton Township campus. LMC Director of Admissions Caroline Tubbs tells WSJM News there’s been a variety of work on the campus in recent years.
“The library has completely been redone, and it’s a beautiful open space for students to study, to do group study, individual work, and there’s a new writing center, a testing center, a tutor area,” Tubbs said.
That’s not to mention the new culinary training area, a virtual reality lab, new nursing labs, and the winery. Tubbs says not many people have had a chance to see some of these things.
“We started offering some in person tours over the summer, but this is the first weekend tour that we’ve had in a while. So we’re happy to offer that to people who can’t come during work hours or during the week.”
This is the first in-person, weekend tour from LMC’s Admissions Department since the completion of the Campus Transformation project. It will be Saturday from 1 to 3 p.m. and led by admissions staff and the LMC baseball coach. The tour is best for prospective students, but anyone can go. You can register online right here.
