A Benton Harbor man is facing charges after exposing himself in South Haven businesses. The South Haven Police Department says it received several calls starting in September about a man going into local businesses, especially businesses with women customers or employees, and causing disruptions. He had been given trespass notices on multiple occasions. The department says it received two reports this week from female employees of the suspect making unwanted sexual contact and exposing himself. 27-year-old Charles Alfred Gaines was arrested Thursday on a count of indecent exposure, second degree. He’s now in the Van Buren County Jail following arraignment. Police thank the community for providing information that led to his arrest.
