Set for next Friday is luminaries in downtown St. Joseph. St. Joseph Today’s Daniele Crevier tells WSJM News the event couldn’t be held last year, and so it’s nice to see its return this year.
“You’ll see about 1,00 luminaries, not only in downtown on State Street and some of the side streets, but also on the east side of Main by The Market, Silver Harbor Brewing, United, and city hall,” Crevier said. “So, we’re just really excited to invite the community out to enjoy the holiday season with us.”
Local volunteers help St. Joe Today staff set up the luminaries. The luminaries will be out next Friday from 5 to 8 p.m. and Crevier says local shops will hold special sales and other events. Around 1,000 come out for the luminaries each year. The event kicks off a slate of winter activities for St. Joseph Today.
